What is below obviously has nothing to do with this week’s lectionary, but I ran across today on Twitter (@jimwells Rt’d @PSchrags),  and found it too fascinating not to share.  This is a short diversion from working on a sermon for Sunday.  Watch this video The Atlantic has posted of 1956 interview on video of a man who actually witnessed Lincoln’s assassination.  It turns out that he was a pipe smoker, probably contributing to his wisdom and longevity.
